Districts

The regional activities of the union have been divided into nine unregistered districts, which currently stand as follows: the districts of Aland, Helsinki, Kotka, Oulu, Rauma, Saimaa, Tampere, Turku and Vaasa.The board determines the borders for the districts.

The districts aim to support the union’s operations at the local level and to build partnerships with local decision-makers. The districts are obligated to hold at least two meetings per year.  

Each district appoints a district agent, a district secretary as well as representatives to other duties approved by the board of the union. The district secretary acts as the deputy for the district agent.
